FAQ's
What is therapy and how is it different from talking to friends and family?
Therapy is a unique opportunity to have a trained professional help you think objectively about yourself and your struggles. A therapist helps you to develop coping skills, manage your emotional states and gain perspective. There may be ongoing or recent life complications that you need help getting through. We will work together to help you manage how you are feeling, thinking, and responding to life's difficulties.
What is the benefit of Online Therapy?
At times, it can be difficult to find a therapist you like, who is nearby and has the availability you need. Some people are in situations where it is difficult to leave the house. Online therapy helps take away some of the barriers to getting the help you need. The sessions are secure, confidential and HIPPA compliant. This ensures the same safe space as if you were in our office, but from the comfort of your own home.
Do you offer a consultation?
Yes, we offer a 10 minute free phone consultation to discuss our services. We can get a sense of what your needs are and answer any questions you may have about therapy in the practice. We also offer a 10 minute online consultation. Some people like to experience the online format to see what it's like. After our consultation, if we decide to work together, we can discuss setting up our ongoing appointments.
What is your client focus?
We work with individuals, couples, families, children, teens and groups on various issues.
What are your fees?
Our weekly therapy fee is comparable to other therapists in the area. Sessions are generally weekly, however there is some availability for sessions every other week. We also offer short term transitions packages of 6 or 12 sessions. We can discuss fees during our consultation. Therapy is an investment in your life, health, relationships, family, and future.

Do you accept insurance?
Many of our clients are private pay clients and choose not to submit for Out of Network reimbursement or use insurance since they value the privacy and control this practice offers.
If you choose to use insurance for counseling reimbursement, we accept United Healthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, or we can work with you as an out of network provider.
Many of our clients who use their OON (out of network) benefits get reimbursed a percentage of the therapy fee. Others use their Health or Flex Account which may cover all of it and allows tax advantages.
We can provide you with a monthly receipt with the necessary info of what you paid so you may obtain any available counseling fee reimbursement based on your plan.
